Troy 30 Piqua 7

Troy pounds Piqua

Ah, sweet victory.

The game did not have a promising start. Troy got stuffed on the opening kickoff, went three and out, and a short punt gave Piqua great field position. They scored on their second play.

The Trojans took over from there. Piqua couldn't stop the Trojans' rushing attack, and couldn't move the ball against Troy's defense. Troy's offense stopped themselves a couple of times early, but still had a 10-7 halftime lead.

After the half, Troy absolutely dominated. The Indians could do nothing to stop them. The all-time series record now stands even at 57-57-6. Troy is now 4-2, 3-0 in the GWOC. If they continue to play well, a trip to the playoffs is not out of the question. Next week they return home to take on the Vandalia Butler Aviators.
