Troy 49 Trotwood-Madison 6

When the game started, it looked like Trotwood was ready to give the Trojans a game. They took the opening kickoff and immediately started moving the ball well with the run. Troy's defense managed to stop them, but then turned the ball back over via an interception. However, by that time the Trojan defense had made some necessary adjustments and got the ball back quickly.

At that point the Trojan offense got on track. Cody Boyd had yet another good game, rushing for 217 yards and three touchdowns. The passing game wasn't needed very much at all--A.J. Bush only threw five passes--but came up big a couple of times. Shane Carter was the recipient of all three completed passes: one picked up a first down on a fourth-and-fourteen, and another was a long touchdown.

With this victory, the Trojans finish out the regular season at 7-3, finishing in second place in the Greater Western Ohio Conference Western Division. More importantly, it looks like they've earned a berth in the state playoffs. The official announcement won't be made until tomorrow, but it looks as though the Trojans will travel to Columbus next weekend to take on Westerville South on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.

GO TROJANS!!!
