Last week Brandi and I tied in our football picks contest, hence each of us bought dinner one night this week. We were both 14-10; she was 10-4 in the NFL and 4-6 in college, and I was 9-5 in the NFL and 5-5 in college.
I'm going to change up the format for my picks this week. Instead of putting the home team in CAPS, now the team I'm picking will be in CAPS. I'm also including current win/loss records for each team. Here we go with the NFL:
(1-2) Cincinnati @ PITTSBURGH (2-1)
(2-1) INDIANAPOLIS @ Jacksonville (3-0)
(2-1) OAKLAND @ Houston (1-2)
(2-0) NEW ENGLAND @ Buffalo (0-2)
(3-0) PHILADELPHIA @ Chicago (1-2)
(1-2) WASHINGTON @ Cleveland (1-2)
(2-1) NY Giants @ GREEN BAY (1-2)
(3-0) Atlanta @ CAROLINA (1-1)
(2-1) New Orleans @ ARIZONA (0-3)
(2-0) NY JETS @ Miami (0-3)
(1-2) Tennessee @ SAN DIEGO (1-2)
(2-1) DENVER @ Tampa Bay (0-3)
(1-2) St. Louis @ SAN FRANCISCO (0-3)
(0-3) Kansas City @ BALTIMORE (2-1)
I'm picking a lot of road teams, and that makes me nervous. That's the way I see it going down, though. Now for the Big Ten:
(2-2) Michigan State @ IOWA (2-2)
(2-2) Illinois @ WISCONSIN (4-0)
(3-0) PURDUE @ Notre Dame (3-1)
(3-1) MICHIGAN @ Indiana (2-2)
(2-2) Penn State @ MINNESOTA (4-0)
(3-0) OHIO STATE @ Northwestern (1-3)
MAC action started last night with Marshall knocking off Miami (the real Miami) in a crucial game for the East Division. Here's the rest of the slate:
(1-3) KENT STATE @ Central Michigan (1-2)
(1-2) BOWLING GREEN @ Temple (1-3)
(0-4) Idaho @ EASTERN MICHIGAN (1-3)
(1-3) Akron @ NORTHERN ILLINOIS (2-2)
(0-3) CENTRAL FLORIDA @ Buffalo (0-4)
(2-2) Ohio @ KENTUCKY (1-2)
(1-3) Ball State @ TOLEDO (2-2)
