From all accounts, it sounds as though the Trojans put up a valiant effort but were simply up against a superior team. I can't comment on that personally. For the first time since 1991, the Troy Trojans played an official game in Troy Memorial Stadium and I wasn't there to see it. It was for a good reason, though; more on that sometime in the near future.
At 5-3, the Trojans' hope for a postseason berth is now all but gone. The season is far from over, however. This week, the Trojans go up against the Piqua Indians in the most prolific rivalry in the state of Ohio. The Indians are 7-1, but forget about the records. This one is always a battle, and this year will be no different.
